Succor Creek Picture Jasper- Oregon Idaho Border
A traditional Picture Jasper with Green & Tan color pallet sometimes with blue as well. Mined with hand tools only by Idaho Rocks and Gems. This is a very had and waxy Jasper with a high silica content that is great for cabs and display slabs.
Spider Web Jasper- Idaho Oregon Border in Owyhee’s.
This material is very popular for cabs and display slabs and has a wide variety of color pallets as well as agate and opal inclusions. Originally named Rose Eye Rhyolite. Mined by hand tools only by Idaho Rocks and Gems.
Owyhee Purple Passion – Rome Oregon Owyhee’s
A Breccia/ Agate & Jasper that comes in Chalk Mine Basin in the Owyhee’s outside of Rome Oregon. This is a hard material that is great for cabbing as well as polishing large display slabs. The color pallet is typically a purple but can have white, grey, red and yellow as well as dendrites at times. This material is mined with hand tools only by Idaho Rocks and Gems.
Blue Opal Thunder Eggs
Mined outside of Marsing Idaho. These eggs feature an opal and agate waterline banding interior and sometimes have zeolites as well. The color pallet can vary with the opal from a deep blue to light blue, white & or green. These are a lot of fun to cut and polish for specimens or shelf pieces. You can also cab this material. This Opal is hydroplane though so it can be finicky to cab.
Good Egg Claim material.
This claim is just outside of Grandview Idaho. Idaho Rocks and Gems mines with hand tools only here and this claim produces thunder Eggs and A breccia / jasper & agate.
These thunder eggs are great for face polishing and displaying. They feature agate and Opal waterline banding and the opal can vary to just about every color. Sometimes the eggs can be moss agate as well. The Breccia (Jasper and agate) is fantastic for cabbing and slabbing as well and can vary widely in color.

A moss Agate and Breccia that can vary from blue to black, purple, green, white & red. This material always surprises you when cut and is a lot of fun to cab. This material is mined with hand tools only on the Oregon side of the border in Graveyard Point.
